Golembiowski Selected as NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week
UTICA, NY – SUNYIT senior David Golembiowski (Barneveld, NY/Holland Patent) has been selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending November 21. It is the sixth time in his career that Golembiowski has won the award.
Golembiowski opened the 2010-11 season with a bang, scoring a game-high 29 points to go along with 10 rebounds and two blocks in a hard-fought 75-63 loss to local rival Utica College this past Friday.
Golembiowski enters his senior season as the program's all-time leader in career rebounds and blocks, and needs just five 3-pointers and 125 points to be at the top of both of those categories as well.
The Wildcats (0-1) will be back in action tonight when they take on Medaille College at the Campus Center Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
